Carl Waterman, CEO

Carl is a professional Life/Recovery Coach from Roachdale, Indiana. He holds a Master of Science degree in Psychology with a specialization in addictions. He is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Trinity Theological Seminary. Carl is certified as a Professional Recovery Coach through the International Association of Professional Recovery Coaches. He is certified as a professional Life Coach through the Fowler International Academy of Professional Coaching. He holds a Medication Assisted Treatment Specialist certification through the Indiana Counselor’s Association on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Carl serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Mental Health America of Putnam County.

Adrian attended Keiser University in West Palm Beach majoring in Psychology with a minor in Entrepreneurship. He is learning all aspects of the business and brings vision to the company. Mr. Rosly has found a new home in his work and appreciates the variety that the job brings. He looks forward to helping the clients and their families, guiding them as they embark upon the journey of recovery.

Theresa Patton, CCO

Theresa Patton joins Bridges of Hope after a career in North Carolina.  She is licensed in Indiana, Illinois and North Carolina with clinical supervisory credentials, providing clinical addiction and mental health treatment services in residential dual diagnosis facilities for over twenty years. Ms. Patton has extensive clinical proficiencies at various levels of care including residential, hospital inpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and individual settings, as well as private practice experience.

Theresa answered the Request for Proposal (RFP), initiated by the State of North Carolina to meet a needs assessment for a new residential facility in the state. She was the sole successful contributor to the request and awarded the contract to build male and female residential facilities.  Theresa provided clinical and directional oversight to execute the operation of seven facilities, including a free-standing ambulatory detox. Ms. Patton was instrumental in attaining JCAHO and CARF accreditation with the implementation of the exclusive use of evidence-based practices designing a PHP, IOP and aftercare program to serve clients during every stage of the treatment process. Additionally, Theresa is a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) with the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT). Ms. Patton provides assessment for safety sensitive functioning, return-to-duty and ongoing treatment for Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FCSA), Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, and the United States Coast Guard.

Theresa enjoys the French culture and speaks the language. She also enjoys leisure time gardening with an interest in lilies.

Carlos Cano is a Certified Addictions Professional and Internationally Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor. Mr. Cano has served as Lead Therapist, Program Director, Clinical Director, and Executive Director at treatment facilities in Arkansas, Florida, and Indiana. Carlos has been mentored and educated by some of the most highly regarded experts in the fields of Addiction Medicine and Psychology. He is dedicated to creating evidenced-based treatment programs that deliver the best possible outcomes and address all presenting issues.

She is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and has extensive experience treating dual diagnosis clients. Her areas of specialty include, but are not limited to, Depression, Anxiety, ADD/ADHD, Bipolar and Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorders in addition to Substance Use Disorders. She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
